‘Moon Knight’ Episodes 5 and 6 Will Be Just as Mind-Blowing as Episode 4, EP Teases

Moon Knight is only going to get more intense from here. Episode 4 of Marvel’s limited series finally landed on Disney+ on April 20 after the cast and crew spent weeks teasing big surprises. Sure enough, the newest installment brought trippy moments that made many viewers question everything. And according to Moon Knight executive producer Grant Curtis, episodes 5 and 6 will take those mind-blowing surprises up a notch.

‘Moon Knight’ Episode 4 featured mind-bending twists

Moon Knight Episode 4 saw Steven Grant/Marc Spector (Oscar Isaac) and Layla (May Calamawy) explore Alexander the Great’s tomb as they hid out from Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke) and his followers. After a dangerous encounter with a creature in the tomb, Steven and Layla got separated, and Arthur found her alone. The cult leader revealed to Layla that Marc killed her father during one of his archaeology expeditions, which would make her relationship with Marc much more complicated.

Layla confronted Marc about her father’s death, but they were interrupted when Arthur and his followers arrived with weapons. In a shocking moment, Arthur shot Marc a few times in the chest, sending him into dark waters below.

Interestingly, Marc’s vision didn’t go black when he supposedly died. Instead, he woke up as a patient at a mental facility in a strange alternate realm. In this world, Steven Grant was not Marc’s alternate personality, but an Indiana Jones-like archaeologist in a film called Tomb Buster. Meanwhile, Layla was another patient, and Arthur was the facility’s lead doctor.

Arthur kept Marc in a drugged state, but in a moment of clarity, the mercenary escaped the doctor’s office and found Steven locked in a sarcophagus. The wild episode ended with Steven and Marc encountering (and screaming at) a hippo-like Egyptian goddess named Tawaret.

Executive producer Grant Curtis teased more big surprises in episodes 5 and 6

Moon Knight Episode 4 had quite a lot for fans to take in, but the story isn’t over. The series still has two episodes left. As Curtis revealed, these episodes have even more surprises in store.

“Episodes 5 and 6 are going to blow your mind,” the executive producer told TVLine.

Unfortunately, Curtis did not provide any details on what to expect. However, he did tease that the remaining episodes would satisfy fans of the Moon Knight comic books.

“There’s a whole world of Moon Knight’s history that you have not been able to watch in those first four episodes that you will in the last two,” he added. “Big fans of the comics who do know his history are going to be happy.”

Many fans of the comics have speculated for weeks that Jake Lockley, the third Moon Knight personality, has dropped hints of his existence in Marc/Steven’s mind, such as committing crimes that neither Marc nor Steven recalled. Perhaps Jake will finally appear in the coming episodes.
