Adele Announced Her Rescheduled Vegas Residency Dates

Adele‘s return to the music world in 2021 with her fourth album 30 was highly anticipated by fans of hers around the world. Now, nearly a year after the LP’s release, Adele is gearing up to take the stage in Las Vegas at her own residency, months after her original residency was postponed.

Adele released her smash album 30 in November 2021, with the lead single “Easy On Me” reigning at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for several weeks.

In January 2022, Adele was set to begin a residency in Las Vegas. But just one day before opening night, the singer took to Instagram to announce that her Vegas debut was being postponed.

“I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready,” she said through tears. “We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID. Half my crew and team are [sick] with COVID [and] they still are, and it’s been impossible to finish the show.”

She rescheduled for late 2022 and early 2023

Adele remained tight-lipped on when or if the show would eventually return. Finally, in July 2022, she announced on social media that her Vegas residency would be launching in November 2022 and running through March 2023.

“Words can’t explain how ecstatic I am to finally be able to announce these rescheduled shows,” she said. “I truly was heartbroken to have to cancel them. But after what feels like an eternity of figuring out logistics for the show that I really want to deliver, and knowing it can happen, I’m more excited than ever!”

She went on to acknowledge the backlash she faced after scrapping the show at the last minute in January. “Now I know for some of you it was a horrible decision on my part, and I will always be sorry for that, but I promise you it was the right one,” she said honestly. “To be with you in such an intimate space every week has been what I’ve most been looking forward to and I’m going to give you the absolute best of me.”

She released her comeback album ’30’ in 2021

For many Adele fans, getting to hear her live again is a massive blessing. After the release of her Grammy-winning album 25 in 2015, Adele laid low for several years, focusing on her life as a mother.

She wrote 30 as a reflection on her life at that age, which included divorce and motherhood. By the time the album was actually released in November 2021, she was long past that point in her life.

Still, 30 was a global success, with over 5 million copies sold worldwide.
